In short
This remote job asks you to help train AI models on how real mechanical parts fit and move. You will use your CAD skills to write hard technical questions and check answers. It may suit experienced designers who enjoy explaining engineering ideas.
What you will do
- Study complex 3D CAD assemblies to see how parts connect, move and interact.
- Write difficult technical questions about mechanical assemblies, each with a clear answer you can verify.
- Use your knowledge of joints, mates, constraints, clearances and tolerances to solve assembly problems.
- Explain the engineering logic behind each answer in a clear, organized way.
- Review questions and solutions with the project team and apply their feedback.
What you need to apply
- At least 5 years of hands-on mechanical design, ideally with large multi-part CAD assemblies.
- Strong skill in at least one parametric CAD tool, such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, Siemens NX, Inventor, Fusion 360, Onshape or Solid Edge.
- Experience with machines or systems that have moving parts, such as robotics or automotive mechanisms.
- Clear written and spoken English, plus strong attention to detail.
Who can apply
Applications are open worldwide, as no country restriction is stated. It is a freelance contract, and the minimum experience is 5 years.
My tip
Show a past CAD assembly project or a sample question you wrote, because clear examples help us see your skills quickly.
