Industrial & Manufacturing Engineers (Must own MacBook)

  • Pay: $50 to $60 / hour
  • Contract: Contract
  • Who can apply: Open worldwide
  • Posted Oct 18, 2026

In short

You would help an AI lab improve its AI models by working on real industrial and manufacturing engineering tasks, done on your own Mac. The work is part-time, with about 10-20 hours per week, and pays 50 to 60 USD per hour on a freelance contract. It may suit engineers with some work experience, as well as students in postgraduate engineering studies.

What you will do

  • Complete real industrial and manufacturing engineering tasks on your own Mac.
  • Explain out loud the reasons behind your engineering choices as you work.
  • Help create high-quality training data for advanced AI models.
  • Follow real process, operations, and production workflows from start to finish.

What you need to apply

  • A Mac with an Apple M-series chip or an Intel processor, running macOS 15 or higher.
  • A degree in industrial, manufacturing, or systems engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with process design, quality control, or production planning, using spreadsheets, CAD, or statistical tools.
  • Clear written and spoken English, so you can explain your decisions well.

Who can apply

The role is open to applicants from anywhere in the world, as no country restriction is stated. You need at least 2 years of experience, and students who are currently enrolled in postgraduate engineering studies may also apply.

My tip

Before you apply, check that your Mac runs macOS 15 or higher, because applicants without a Mac cannot be considered. We also suggest preparing for a short 3-minute conversation with an AI interviewer, which is part of the process.
