In short
Mercor is looking for experienced music producers and audio engineers to help test AI music tools. You would listen to songs made by AI and judge how good they are, working with a leading AI lab. This may suit you if you know music well and enjoy careful listening.
What you will do
- Compare two AI-made songs side by side on musicality, creativity, how well they follow the prompt, vocal quality, and mix quality.
- Rate each song against detailed quality standards.
- Tag each song with its genre, structure, instruments, vocals, and other musical traits.
- Check AI-written lyrics and sung vocals against reference material for quality and accuracy.
What you need to apply
- At least 2 years of experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or mixing engineer.
- Headphones or studio monitors good enough for critical listening.
- Formal training in music performance, theory, or composition is a plus.
- Credited or commercially released production, engineering, or mixing work is a plus.
Who can apply
This is a freelance remote job open to residents of the US, GB, and AU. The project can start right away and runs for up to 6 months.
