In short
This is a remote freelance job where you help check what web search returns. You will decide whether each page really answers the question someone asked. It suits anyone who searches the web often, and people who know a topic well, like basketball or reality TV, can bring that knowledge to the work.
What you will do
- Run web search queries every day and rate how well each result answers the question.
- Finish each day's set of queries on the day it is given to you.
- Add short notes to explain your ratings.
What you need to apply
- Strong written English. Other languages are a plus.
- Careful, consistent and detail-oriented work.
- Regular use of web search, or deep interest or expertise in a specific area.
- Fill in a short background survey before you start, covering your age, location, languages, education and interests.
Who can apply
The role is open worldwide, and no country restriction is stated. It pays 30 to 40 USD per hour under a freelance contract, with 25 openings.
My tip
Before you apply, think about the topics you know best and mention them, because that deep knowledge is part of what this role looks for. Also show that you can be careful and consistent in your writing.
