In short
micro1 is looking for practicing U.S. attorneys to write legal reasoning problems that test what AI systems can do. You take a complex set of facts, spot the issues that matter, and reach a conclusion you can defend. You do not need earlier AI work to start, so this may suit experienced litigators who want flexible, project-based work alongside their own practice.
What you will do
- Write complex legal reasoning problems based on scenarios like the ones you handle in practice, with realistic supporting material.
- Give the correct analysis and explain each step of the reasoning that leads to it.
- Set clear criteria so another attorney would reach the same verdict on your answer.
- Review problems written by other attorneys for legal accuracy and sound reasoning.
- Flag problems that are unclear or cannot be graded, instead of submitting them.
What you need to apply
- A J.D. and an active U.S. bar license in good standing
- At least 3 years of legal practice, currently active in litigation, corporate, real estate, bankruptcy, or compliance
- English at C1 level or above
- Extra credit for judicial clerkship, law teaching, law review editing, or legal AI or data work
Who can apply
Only residents of the US may apply, and you must hold the required LAWYER credential, which means a U.S. bar license. The role is remote and paid per approved task at 80 to 150 USD per hour.
My tip
Before you apply, make sure your U.S. bar license is active and in good standing. We suggest preparing well for the AI interview, since it is how your expertise reaches the client.
