In short
This remote freelance role asks you to build 3D objects and environments for simulation, helping train future AI systems. It pays 60 to 100 USD per hour, and you do not need prior AI experience, since your domain knowledge matters most. It may suit beginners with strong 3D or physics skills, and experienced creators too.
What you will do
- Build and set up 3D objects and environments in simulation tools such as Isaac Sim, Gazebo, or MuJoCo.
- Recreate real-world objects and instruments in simulation, matching their shape, size, materials, and physical behavior.
- Work with scientists and subject-matter experts to check that simulated environments are accurate.
- Adjust physical settings such as mass, friction, and collision properties so virtual objects act like real ones.
- Find and fix differences between simulated and real-world behavior.
What you need to apply
- Hands-on experience with at least one robotics or physics simulation platform, such as Isaac Sim, Gazebo, MuJoCo, Unity, Unreal, or PyBullet.
- A background in 3D modeling, CAD, or environment design.
- An understanding of physics simulation, including rigid body dynamics, materials, and sensors.
- Strong collaboration skills with scientific and technical colleagues.
- Careful attention to detail when matching real-world fidelity.
Who can apply
Open to applicants worldwide, as no country restriction is stated. The role is a freelance contract with 5 openings.
My tip
Show a portfolio with 3D work built in a simulation tool like Isaac Sim, Gazebo, or MuJoCo, and highlight any project where you matched a real object closely.
