In short
This remote freelance role asks you to design hard research problems that test how well advanced AI models reason about drug discovery. You will build the problem, gather real source data for it, and write a grading guide that scores answers on scientific substance. It may suit experts with a PhD who enjoy designing tough challenges where the answer must be worked out, not looked up.
What you will do
- Design a realistic drug research problem with one well-supported conclusion that a strong solver must reason toward.
- Assemble a set of real, source-based data files so every key value can be traced to its original source.
- Write a grading guide that scores a submitted report on its scientific substance.
- Test the problem and grading guide, then revise them when reviewers ask for changes.
What you need to apply
- A PhD, or equivalent experience in industry.
- Working expertise in mechanistic enzymology, structure-guided peptide or antibody design, fragment-based discovery, or structure-based medicinal chemistry.
- Ability to judge the quality of someone's reasoning, not only whether the final answer is right.
- Availability for 20 to 40 hours per week, and a Claude Max subscription, which is fully reimbursed.
Who can apply
The role is open worldwide, with no country restriction stated. It is a freelance contract, and the work is fully remote.
My tip
Before you apply, describe in a few sentences how you would build a problem that a clever solver cannot shortcut. We find that clear examples from your own research make your application stand out.
