Mathematics Expert (Master’s/Ph.D.)

Do you hold a Master's degree and love mathematics? Turing is hiring remote Mathematics Experts to train and evaluate large language models on a part-time contractor basis. This role lets you build a flexible career in artificial intelligence while applying your academic background.

What you will do

• Design challenging math problems to test AI reasoning limits
• Solve problems independently and write detailed solutions
• Review model answers to find mathematical errors and provide corrections
• Define new evaluation benchmarks based on undergraduate and PhD topics
• Develop and validate Python code or theorem-prover tasks using Lean

What you need to apply

• Good research, analytical, and creative thinking skills
• Ability to provide constructive feedback and clear explanations
• Excellent communication and independent work habits
• Desktop or laptop with a good internet connection
• Commitment of at least 4 hours per day, a minimum of 20 hours per week, and 4 hours of overlap with PST
