In short
This full-time role asks you to use your finance expertise to help a leading AI lab improve how its models reason about real financial work. It pays 110 to 150 USD per hour and may suit senior finance professionals who want to shape how AI handles money matters. There are 5 openings.
What you will do
- Check finance work tasks and model answers, looking for weak reasoning, wrong assumptions, and answers that sound right but would not hold up to professional review.
- Write clear instructions and model solutions that show what a correct finance answer looks like.
- Design difficult finance tasks and test sets that show whether the model is really getting better.
- Work with researchers and other specialists to keep standards consistent and turn expert judgment into clear rules.
What you need to apply
- At least 5 years of dedicated professional finance experience at a recognized institution, such as a bank, asset manager, or private equity firm.
- Real specialization in at least one core finance area, such as corporate finance, M&A, private equity, risk, or accounting.
- The CFA credential, which is required for this role.
- Hands-on experience using large language models in your work, and the ability to commit 40 hours per week for an initial 6 months.
- Excellent written communication, with the ability to give precise, well-organized written feedback.
Who can apply
Only residents of the US can apply. The role is hybrid and on site, and the posting says you must live in the Bay Area, California, or be willing to relocate there at your own cost before the work starts.
My tip
We suggest you give a concrete example from your finance career where you spotted a flawed assumption or a weak analysis, because this kind of judgment is at the heart of the role.
