In short
This remote freelance job asks you to share your own trading history and explain your biggest decisions in writing. The data is used to study how individual traders make choices, so it suits experienced traders who want a one-time paid task.
What you will do
- Export your full transaction history from your U.S. brokerage account and upload it, covering at least 24 months with no trades removed.
- Remove personal details such as your name, account numbers and address before you upload.
- Write a short summary, about 100 to 250 words, of your trading style, holding periods, instruments and platforms.
- Explain at least 5 of your most significant trades, giving your reasoning at entry or exit, and keep any reflection on the outcome separate.
What you need to apply
- At least 2 years of active trading on your own account.
- At least 1,000 trades over that period.
- An account with a U.S. retail broker, such as Robinhood, Schwab or Fidelity.
- Age 18 or older, and willing to share your complete trade history.
Who can apply
Only residents of the US can apply, and students may apply too. You sign Mercor's Expert Content License Agreement as part of your application.
My tip
Before you start, check that your broker export covers at least 24 months, because partial submissions are not paid. We suggest drafting your 5 trade explanations with the exact symbol, date, side and quantity for each trade.
