In short
This remote freelance role asks you to use your deep knowledge of technical work to help train future AI systems. You would turn drawings, parts lists and production plans into clear, accurate records that AI models can learn from. It may suit you if you have years of hands-on expertise and enjoy explaining how things are built, identified or checked.
What you will do
- Turn engineering drawings and parts lists into step-by-step assembly instructions that follow the correct order.
- Find, check and record industrial replacement parts using photos, nameplates and manufacturer or distributor catalogs.
- Review production patterns and cutting-room plans, checking that the layout is efficient and technically correct.
- Check batches of labeled images against project rules and guidelines, and explain your decisions in writing.
What you need to apply
- At least 5 years of experience in technical writing, parts analysis, production pattern planning or image annotation quality checks.
- Strong skill at reading engineering drawings, parts lists and technical documents.
- Good visual and spatial thinking, plus the ability to write clear reasons for your choices.
- Ability to work on your own and submit work through digital platforms on schedule.
Who can apply
The role is open to people from anywhere in the world, since no country restriction is stated. You need at least 5 years of experience, and you will work as a freelancer on a contract basis, paid 20 to 60 USD per hour.
My tip
Lead your application with concrete examples of drawings, parts identification or quality reviews you have handled, and mention the number of years you have worked in each. Show that you can explain your reasoning clearly in writing, since that is a big part of this work.
