In short
Mercor works with a leading AI lab to train AI models on legal reasoning. You would join an open talent pool of US transactional attorneys, paid 100 to 120 USD per hour for part-time remote work. It may suit experienced lawyers who want flexible legal work and who can take on new projects as they launch.
What you will do
- Compare two AI-written answers to deal tasks, such as contract drafts or due diligence summaries, and pick the stronger one.
- Write short explanations for your choice, based on the source documents and US law.
- Create realistic legal prompts and model answers based on your own deal experience.
- Spot mistakes, gaps and risky advice in AI-generated legal content.
- Join onboarding and calibration sessions.
What you need to apply
- An active bar membership in at least one US state.
- At least 3 years of US transactional practice, such as M&A, finance or commercial contracts.
- A J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Clear writing and strong attention to detail.
Who can apply
Only residents of the US can apply, and you must be a lawyer with the credentials listed above.
My tip
Apply once and keep your bar details and practice history up to date, since we review applications on a rolling basis and contact people when matching work appears.
