In short
You would help shape how advanced AI models reason about biology and life sciences research. The work depends on your scientific judgment as a practicing expert, not a generalist. It may suit senior biologists who enjoy checking whether an argument truly holds up.
What you will do
- Check life sciences tasks and AI answers, spotting weak reasoning, unproven cause-and-effect claims, and flawed experiments.
- Write clear problem statements and careful model answers that show what a correct response looks like.
- Build hard, research-level test problems and evaluation sets in your own area of specialty.
- Work with other experts to turn their instincts into clear rules that others can learn and apply.
What you need to apply
- A PhD in a life science such as biochemistry, genetics, immunology, or neuroscience.
- Senior research experience, such as a faculty post, principal investigator role, or senior scientist position.
- A strong record of peer-reviewed publications. Awards or fellowships are a plus.
- Hands-on experience with large language models, and the ability to tell a sound argument from a convincing wrong one.
- Excellent written communication and the skill to give precise, well-organized feedback.
Who can apply
Only residents of the US may apply, and the role is fully remote on a freelance contract. Pay is 90 to 140 USD per hour, with 10 openings.
My tip
Tailor your application to your specific research area, and include examples of your published work and how you check whether an argument is sound.
