In short

You would help shape how advanced AI models handle real mathematical research, using your own expertise to decide what a correct answer looks like. The role is fully remote and suits working mathematicians who know their field deeply and want to bring it into AI work. There are 10 openings.

What you will do

  • Check mathematical tasks and AI answers, spotting missing steps, unjustified claims and wrong generalizations.
  • Write clear problem statements, careful reference solutions and proofs, the way real research is done.
  • Design hard, research-level problems and test sets in your own area of specialization.
  • Work with researchers from nearby fields to turn expert intuition into clear rules that others can learn.

What you need to apply

  • A PhD in mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, operations research or a closely related field.
  • A senior research role, such as a faculty post, principal investigator, or senior scientist position at a university, national laboratory or research organization.
  • Real depth in at least one area, such as analysis, algebra, geometry, probability or optimization.
  • A solid record of peer-reviewed publications; fellowships or awards are a plus.
  • Hands-on use of large language models, strong written communication, and the ability to tell a sound argument from a convincing but wrong one.

Who can apply

Only residents of the US may apply. The work is a freelance contract, fully remote, paid 90 to 140 USD per hour.

My tip

Prepare a short example of a proof, derivation or research result you checked or wrote, since this role depends on precise written judgment. We suggest you point to that example first in your application.
