Mercor is looking for Telugu linguistic experts to help with an AI research project run with a leading research lab. You would check how well an AI language model writes and understands Telugu, then help make it better. If you speak Telugu very well and enjoy careful work with words, this remote role may suit you.
What you will do
- Check whether Telugu text made by an AI model is correct and natural, for tasks such as translation, summaries, dialogue and grammar fixes.
- Edit or rewrite Telugu text so it fits good language and cultural standards.
- Mark the grammar, sentence structure and meaning in Telugu texts.
- Find the model's mistakes and gaps, and work with AI researchers on fixes.
- Write clear feedback to help guide the next rounds of model training.
What you need to apply
- Native or near-native Telugu, with a strong grasp of grammar and style.
- At least 1 year of experience in translation, editing, language labeling or language data work in Telugu.
- Good knowledge of regional differences and how words fit different contexts.
- Sharp eye for small errors and phrases that sound unnatural.
- Clear written communication and comfort working with distance teams.
Who can apply
The role is open to people from anywhere in the world, as no country limit is stated. It is a freelance contract, and you must speak English and Telugu well.
