In short
Mercor is looking for voice recordings to help train next-generation text-to-speech systems for a leading AI research lab. You would record Swiss German speech that sounds natural and human, for a customer-experience AI agent. This may suit people with call-center or customer-support backgrounds, voice actors, and newcomers with a clear, expressive voice.
What you will do
- Record voice samples in several styles, such as conversation, narration, and instructions.
- Speak with a clear tone, a steady pace, and correct pronunciation.
- Keep your voice, accent, and delivery consistent across recording sessions.
- Follow detailed rules about your recording space, microphone, and file format.
- Do several takes with different emotions, emphasis, and styles when asked.
What you need to apply
- Native Swiss German speaker.
- A clear, natural, and expressive voice.
- A quiet room and a good microphone, ideally with a pop filter.
- Availability for one session of about 4 hours, and possibly a second one of similar length later.
- Agreement to have your voice cloned for the client's CX AI agent.
Who can apply
This role is open only to residents of Switzerland (CH), on a freelance contract that is fully remote. Pay is 50 to 150 USD per hour, and there are 10 openings.
My tip
Before you apply, check that your recording setup is quiet and well equipped, and record a short Swiss German sample to hear your own voice. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, so you can apply at any time.
