Voice Actor: CX Agent Voice Cloning (USA)

In short

Mercor is helping an AI research lab build new text-to-speech voices that sound natural and human. It is a freelance job paying 50 to 200 USD per hour, and it may suit you if you are a US-based native American English speaker with a clear, expressive voice, whether you are a professional voice actor, a customer-service worker or a beginner.

What you will do

• Record high-quality voice samples from different kinds of scripts, such as conversations, stories and instructions.
• Speak clearly and naturally, paying close attention to tone, pace and pronunciation.
• Keep your voice, accent and style the same from one recording session to the next.
• Follow detailed recording rules for your room, your microphone and your file format.
• Record several takes with different emotions, emphasis or styles when asked.

What you need to apply

• You are a native American English speaker currently living in the United States.
• You have a recording setup that is professional or close to it, such as a good microphone and a quiet room.
• You can read scripts exactly as written while still sounding natural.
• You are free for one recording session of about 4 hours, and possibly a second one of similar length later.
• You agree that your voice may be cloned for the client's CX AI Agent, and that the recordings will only be used for that purpose.

Who can apply

Only residents of the USA can apply, so you must live in the United States. Experience in customer support or voice work helps, but it is not required.
