Law Review Cite-Checker
- Pay: $50 to $80 / hour

In short
This freelance role asks you to check legal citations and help build practice cases for a legal citation project run by micro1. It may suit law students and recent law graduates who have worked on a law journal and know the Bluebook well. You do not need any prior AI experience.
What you will do
- Review existing Bluebook and pincite grading rubrics and mark rules that are unclear or that different editors might apply in different ways.
- Suggest how to handle edge cases that the current rubrics do not cover.
- Write sample cite-checking tasks with source material, citations containing realistic errors, the correct answer, and an explanation of the rule behind it.
- Flag unclear cases to project coordinators instead of deciding them on your own.
What you need to apply
- Current or recent law school enrollment.
- Hands-on experience with the Bluebook.
- Experience editing or cite-checking for a law journal or law review.
Who can apply
The role is open worldwide, with no country restriction stated. Law students can apply too.
My tip
We suggest you explain in your application why a citation is wrong, not only how to fix it, since the reasoning matters as much as the correction for this work.
