Lawyer

  • Pay: $50 to $80 / hour
  • Contract: Contract
  • Who can apply: United States

In short

micro1 is looking for lawyers to help train AI systems. You would use your legal knowledge to give accurate, detailed input so models learn to reason about the law. No AI experience is needed, because your legal background is what counts. This suits lawyers who want remote, freelance work paid by the hour.

What you will do

  • Read and analyze U.S. legal documents, court decisions, and statutes to give accurate input for AI training.
  • Write and edit sample legal arguments, memos, and court filings with a clear structure.
  • Check citations in the Bluebook style and confirm that every reference is correct.
  • Discuss hypothetical legal cases and give written and spoken feedback on how clear and useful the content is.
  • Work remotely with project managers and technical experts, and adjust your work as the requirements change.

What you need to apply

  • A lawyer credential (LAWYER).
  • A Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a U.S. law school is preferred, and graduates of T14 schools get extra consideration.
  • Strong Bluebook citation and cite-checking skills are preferred.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication, with close attention to detail.

Who can apply

You must live in the US to apply, and you need the LAWYER credential. Students may apply too, but current law students must have law review or law journal editor experience.

My tip

We suggest highlighting your Bluebook and cite-checking skills at the start of your application, since accurate citations are central to this work.
