In short
You would help check how well an AI language model writes and understands Portuguese. You would also improve Portuguese text so the model sounds natural and correct. This job may suit you if you know Portuguese very well and enjoy spotting small mistakes.
What you will do
- Check how accurate and good the Portuguese text written by an AI is, for jobs such as translation, summaries, chats and grammar fixes.
- Edit and rewrite Portuguese text so it sounds right and fits the local language and culture.
- Label Portuguese text by its grammar, sentence structure and meaning.
- Find where the AI makes mistakes or lacks Portuguese, and work with AI researchers to fix them.
- Write clear feedback that helps guide the next steps in training the model.
What you need to apply
- Native or near-native Portuguese, with strong grammar and writing style.
- At least 1 year of work in translation, editing, text labeling or language data work in Portuguese.
- Good knowledge of regional differences and of which words fit which situations.
- A sharp eye for small errors and unnatural phrasing.
- Clear communication and experience working in remote teams.
Who can apply
Anyone in the world can apply, as no country limit is stated. This is a freelance contract, with 2 openings and pay of 50 USD per hour.
My tip
Show examples of Portuguese texts you have edited, translated or labeled in your application. Mention any interest in AI, which is a plus even though it is not required.
