Arabic Linguistic Experts

Mercor is looking for Arabic linguistic experts to help improve an AI language model in partnership with a leading research lab. You would check how well the model writes and understands Arabic, and help it sound more natural. If you know Arabic deeply and enjoy careful language work, this remote freelance role could suit you.

What you will do

• Check the quality and accuracy of Arabic text written by an AI model, for tasks such as translation, summaries, dialogue and grammar fixes.
• Edit or rewrite Arabic text so it reads well and fits cultural norms.
• Label Arabic text by its grammar, sentence structure and meaning.
• Find the model's mistakes and gaps in Arabic, then work with AI researchers on solutions.
• Write clear feedback on the model's language to guide its ongoing training.

What you need to apply

• Native or near-native Arabic, with strong grammar and writing style.
• Professional experience in translation, editing, language labeling or language data work in Arabic, with a minimum of 1 year.
• A good understanding of regional differences in Arabic and of which wording fits each context.
• A sharp eye for small errors and unnatural phrasing.
• Clear communication skills and experience working in remote teams. Interest in AI is a plus but not required.
